David W. MacIntyre, recognized as a real estate management specialist, has a distinguished career in Arizona real estate spanning 4 decades. His interest in real estate came from his father, John MacIntyre, who came to Arizona in 1919 and opened a real estate company in downtown Phoenix in 1952. David entered real estate in 1962 as a sales agent but his talent as an educator and leader quickly emerged. From 1969 to 1974 David was involved in every aspect of the industry. He successfully managed real estate offices, opened branch offices, and trained sales forces.
While employed for the Arizona State Real Estate Department from 1974-1975, David established real estate course standards at community colleges and private real estate schools. He prepared and administered the state licensing examination for 7000 sales agents and brokers annually. He held instructor training courses at the University of Arizona and worked with Arizona State University on revisions of the real estate primer.
In 1976 David returned to residential and commercial sales in Scottsdale and was awarded “Realtor Associate of the Year” by the Scottsdale Board of Realtors for community involvement. In 1987 he was named top ERA broker in Arizona and one of the top 5 out of 3000 in the United States. David established a Real Estate school that conducted monthly 50-hour basic selling skills classes, and provides 24 hours of license renewal courses to over 400 agents a year.
In 1988 David became the Chief Operating Officer and Designated Broker of Arizona Best Real Estate. He currently manages 6 branch sales offices with 100 agents. Arizona Best is listed in the top 25 residential real estate brokerage firms out of 1100 in the valley by The Business Journal newspaper for 15 consecutive years. Arizona Business Magazine also selected Arizona Best Real Estate in their Ranking Arizona Publication as the number 3 Real Estate Firm in Arizona. They were judged not only on company revenues and number of employees but also on quality of product, service and people.
